Richard S. Ormsby is a producer, writer, and marketer raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. During the day, he leads marketing and growth initiatives for Media Services, an entertainment payroll, software, and finance firm specializing in independent film. 

 

His experience spans short and long form content, notably serving as Assistant Director for The Wanting Mare (2020). His proximity to the heart of the entertainment industry has allowed him to work alongside independent producers, festival coordinators, guild analysts, screenwriters, and industry thought leaders. His position has afforded him the opportunity to participate and forge relationships at the Producer Guild’s 'Produced By' Conference, American Film Market, SXSW, and HubSpot’s 'Inbound' Conference. 

Richard’s personal experience brings a queer perspective to everything, from story to hiring. Remnants of Nova marks the first production under his 'Rock & Sky Productions' label. His aptitude for business management and marketing will allow him to deliver professional marketing campaigns, efficiently manage cash flow, and successfully bring Remnants of Nova to market.
